Marbella Montessori recognises it's legal and moral duty to promote the well-being of children, protect them from harm and respond to safeguarding concerns.
It is our responsibility through our daily contact with students and dealing with their families through a variety of communication, to notice any safeguarding issues and concerns that need to be dealt with either directly with the parents or external agencies.
We have a duty to ensure the care, welfare and safety of our students whilst they participate in all parts of our service. Where there is a possibility that a child may be at risk of harm we will act immediately.
All of our directors, teachers, administrative staff, persons from external sources and volunteers who are invited into the school, are vetted through the DBS scheme. All our staff undertake both induction and regular safeguarding training.
We follow the UK Government DfE Statutory Guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education' published September 2019 and ‘Guidance for Safer Working Practices for Adults who work with Children and Young People in Education Settings, (October 2015, Updated 2019).
